Get on Sagotåget and dive straight into the magical world between the pages of books. You’ll meet Madicken, Emil, Karlsson and the others on an enchanting journey between the Swedish summer of fairytales and stories and the roaring Karma Falls. Beautiful, exciting and a little sad – exactly as it should be. One ride is included in the entrance ticket.

Sagotåget departs every minute, and the ride takes approximately 15 minutes and for it to be the most fun for everyone, children and adults take it together. It can be comforting to have a hand to hold sometimes! The feisty mouse in Simon Small and Katla, the dragon, are two figures that can be a bit frightening.

One Story Train ticket is always included in your entrance ticket, and you can obtain the ticket at the entrance. If you wish to take additional rides, you can purchase them (subject to availability) for 20 SEK per person at the ticket counter. During high season, queues may occur, and we distribute entrance tickets with specific time slots. This time slot indicates when you can earliest get on Sagotåget that day.
Sagotåget closes 15 minutes before the regular closing time.

Sagotåget was the last text that Astrid Lindgren wrote and, if you listen to the Swedish version, it is Astrid herself you’ll hear from the loudspeakers. Building up the magical world of dolls, settings, lights and sounds was a fantastic and challenging task that took over two years to complete.
Illustratören Marit Törnqvist fick hedersuppdraget och skapade miljöerna i nära samarbete med Astrid. Det är Marits figurer du ser i Katthults flaggstång och i Törnrosdalens gränder. I boken “Sagoresan” hittar du Astrids vackra text och alla teckningar som ligger till grund för resan vi får göra.
